Continued uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus has lead to the canceling of the 2021 Retreat

FEBRUARY 18, 2021 – In light of the continued presence of the coronavirus pandemic in 2021, the officers and our hostesses in Sterling about how we should proceed. We had planned to postpone the plans we made for 2020 and use them in 2021, but in light of the continued uncertainty, we have decided to cancel the retreat again this year.

We do sincerely hope that next year’s retreat may be able to occur, and in light of that, we do crave your prayers as we prepare, and also your assistance.  We have officer openings for the president and vice president roles, both of which are vital to moving forward.

The president presides over the executive officer meeting and the business meeting, and assists in communication with the broader presbytery and denomination about retreat plans.  The Vice President serves as the program director for the retreat, to select speakers and to work with the host congregation on the schedule for the weekend.

As nominating committee chair (as well as current president, and recent vice president), please contact me if you or someone you know would be a good fit for these roles, or if you have questions in terms of what they entail.

We pray that the Lord will bless each of you and your congregations with health and peace in Him, and that He will enable us to gather again according to His perfect timing.

In Christ,
Laura Wallace
